MYRON YODER
Myron has been instructing since 2010 with over 6,000 flight hours and more than 5,000 hours of dual given. He grew up in Belize, Central America and southern Mississippi, sharing a love for flight with his private pilot father. Myron brings a calm, methodical approach to every lesson — from first-time discovery flights to advanced Cirrus transitions.

SAM WHATLEY
Sam has been flying since 2009. He developed a deep appreciation for aviation early on, inspired by time spent at various airshows as a kid. Sam focuses on building both confidence and precision in the cockpit. He always emphasizes safety, situational awareness, and strong decision-making. Known for his steady demeanor and clear communication, Sam creates a supportive learning environment where students can progress at their own pace while mastering the fundamentals of flight. He has a 100% pass rate on all check-rides from private pilot to CFii for his students.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE MANAGER
GRANT MEDER
Grant has been around aviation his whole life, starting out flying with his dad as a kid around the islands of Hawaii. He has experience flying for private owners and flight instruction, and always aims to make flying a positive and encouraging experience. Teaching safe practices and risk management, Grant pushes his students to become and think like the pilot in command.

Kyle's journey to aviation came after a career in finance — a pivot that represents a lifelong love for aircraft and military aviation. Though he's reconciled he won't be the next Maverick, his passion for flying and instructing is unmistakable. Kyle brings a disciplined, detail-oriented mindset to the cockpit and to every student he flies with

MICHAEL VINSON
Michael launched his aviation journey in 2000 right here at Pryor Field in Decatur. After successful careers in the Defense Industry and Real Estate, he returned to his true passion: flight. A dedicated and patient instructor, Michael brings a calm, engaging presence to every lesson while maintaining the highest standards of safety. He is committed to creating a supportive, enjoyable learning environment where students feel confident and at ease as they progress toward their aviation goals.

CO-FOUNDERS
STEPHEN AND COURTNEY WALKER
Stephen and Courtney Walker are the co-founders of Rocket City Aviation Services and established business owners in the Huntsville community. After discovering how private aviation could transform their family's travel and quality of life, they became passionate advocates for the Cirrus life.

As owners of a Cirrus SR22T, they are intimately familiar with the benefits of flying a modern, technologically advanced aircraft. Stephen is currently using their SR22T to complete his Private Pilot certificate — giving him a firsthand perspective on the student experience. Together, they are dedicated to giving every client a white-glove entry into aviation.
